In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, I honour and acknowledge the Canmore area, known as “Chuwapchipchiyan Kudi Bi” (translated in Stoney Nakoda as “shooting at the willows”). I acknowledge the Treaty 7 Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), as well as the Ktunaxa Nation, Shuswap Nations, and Metis Nation of Alberta (District 4). I am committed to my own learning and to working toward reconciliation.
